Thank you Mr Carter

As our topic is about our world and the people who help us, we invited Mr Carter, “a real fireman” to talk to the children about the job of a fireman and how to keep safe. Mrs Ready and Mrs Clark were keen to join the ranks and tried on the uniform. The children tried on helmets which were very, very, very, very heavy! Children listened well and had lots to say! We were able to see a fire engine with flashing blue lights and noisy siren go past us on our visit to the high street yesterday. Children commented on possible reasons why the firemen were going “to the rescue”.(all as Mr Carter had said on his visit).
